About Us

Chennai Christian Nadar Association (CCNA) is a voluntary outreach organization funded by its generous members with the sole motive of serving the underprivileged. We pride in our selves as being a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization focussed on alleviating the social conditions of the needy across various beliefs in the true spirit of Christianity.

Throughout the New Testament, we find that Jesus inspires his disciples with his great compassion and enormous capacity for action. His disciples stand with him to enact change. Compassion and action are inspirational. CNA’s mission is to implement these very acts of compassion towards our fellow human beings. We actively work with the community to address the causes of poverty and help them move towards self-sufficiency. We believe that we have the potential and willingness to move forward and be a catalyst for change in the society.

What is CNA without Missionary work? We look back at what would have been our plight if we did not hear about Christ. And this realisation has motivated us to support Missionary activities. We believe that by spreading the word of Christ we bring the lost into the sheepfold of Christ.

The Bible says in Math 25: 45 – “Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.”. Our outreach to the disadvantaged of the society includes but not limited to Missionary support, financial support for education, elderly care, marriages, differently abled individuals, employment opportunities etc, negotiate with the Government for the rights of the deprived, preservation and nurturing of the planet and every aspect which could make a difference in the life of the underprivileged.

We render all these assistances irrespective of the religious, political or other affiliations of the individuals. This is to put the Biblical truth of showing compassion and restoring people to Christ through life-changing acts of love and service. We believe in practicing biblical truth in every facet of life thereby bringing glory to Christ and Christ alone.

We intend to apply Biblical truth by being champions of the poor, the hungry, the widowed, orphaned and the destitute. In short to secure sustainable improvements in the lives of those who are neglected and are in need of help.

We believe in a world in which the rights of the disadvantaged are respected. We are not reluctant in raising the issues with the Government if required and where our interests are being hampered. We believe in having a cordial relationship with all civic and social organizations and intent to resolve all issues in a peaceful manner.

We are funded by the generous contributions of our members and ensure that the funds are effectively utilized. We channelize the funds responsibly and ensure that deserving individuals/groups receive the benefits without prejudice.

Our aspirations are many and we believe the coming days will be a successful one for all our endeavours. ‘You are the light of the World. Mat 5:14’ – this is what we strive to be in every essence of this scripture verse.
